PostDoc position at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia – Animal studies
For a project on the characterization of the safety profile of a drug in mice, we are seeking for a Post-Doc scientist to work at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, Genova, Italy. The project begins in September 2024 and it is expected to last 2-3 years. The selected candidate will perform all the animal activities envisaged for the project: animal handling and characterization at different life stages as well as behavioral studies. She/he will set up the appropriate in vivo behavioral models and study the pharmacokinetic biodistribution of the drug. Retribution and benefits are competitive and will be defined based on the Applicant’s experience.

We are seeking for highly motivated post-doctoral researchers interested in working in a
stimulating research environment, and leading ambitious projects aiming to discover new
strategies to curb metastatic proclivity or eradicate metastatic outgrowth by digging into
the connections between mechanosignaling and oncogenic pathways and their role in
controlling the crosstalk of tumor cells with the tissue microenvironment. The research is
funded by AIRC 5x1000 program “Metastasis as a mechanodisease” ID22759.

Dr Ishier Raote seeks to recruit a postdoc to lead an interdisciplinary project on the cellular secretory pathway and how it is (re)organised under pathological conditions including fibrosis or in tumours.

The Haucke lab (www.leibniz-fmp.de/haucke) seeks to recruit a postdoc in biochemistry and/ or structural biology to analyze the molecular architecture and function of protein complexes that control membrane and organelle dynamics in health and disease. Our main focus is on the endolysosomal system that we study using a combination of biochemical/ structural
biological, genetic, and cell biological approaches.

Two Post-Doctoral Research Fellowships Available at the School of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milano-Bicocca in the research group led by Emanuele Azzoni, within the framework of two exciting and
ambitious projects, respectively funded by WORLDWIDE CANCER RESEARCH (WWCR) and FONDAZIONE CARIPLO/FONDAZIONE TELETHON.
Both projects are aimed at understanding the role of inflammatory pathways in the context of juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia (JMML), a type of blood cancer affecting young children, for which new treatments are urgently needed.

Postdoctoral positions are immediately available in the Laboratory of Muscle Stem Cells and Gene Regulation (LMSCGR) at NIAMS of the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD, USA. Ambitious and strongly motivated individuals with a solid background in molecular biology (bioinformatics is desirable but not required) are invited to apply. The main areas of investigations relate to:
1)Intersection of metabolism and epigenetics in the regulation of skeletal muscle stem cell biology
2)Role of chromatin- and histone-modifying protein complexes in embryonic and muscle stem cells

We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join the Maiuri team at the Department of Molecular
Medicine and Medical Biotechnology, Federico II University of Naples, Italy. Our group studies how
cells sense and react to mechano-chemical stimuli coming from the surrounding micro-environment.
Particularly, we are interested to investigate how those stimuli impact on the cell nucleus.

We are seeking expressions of interest for a post-doctoral position from highly motivated candidates that would like to join our group at the Department of Biosciences, University of Milan, Italy.
The successful candidate will work on a PRIN 2022 funded project, and he/she will employ a combination of molecular, cellular, and in vivo approaches to dissect novel epigenetic events occurring in breast cancer stem cells and related to metastasis formation. The project will involve the use of molecular and cellular biology techniques, including 3D cell cultures and NGS.
The optimal candidates would be highly motivated, have a strong background in molecular or cellular biology, experience in transcriptional regulation and cell biology.
Candidates holding a PhD degree are welcome to apply but highly motivated candidates at earlier stages of their scientific careers will also be considered.
Potential candidates are invited to send a curriculum vitae, a brief statement of research interests and contact information of 2 references to Giuseppina Caretti, giuseppina.caretti@unimi.it.
