Not surprisingly, cell biology is intimately linked with the study of disease. From cancer to rare genetic disorders – changes in cell structure, function and physiology underlie virtually all diseases. The CBD meeting focuses on disease area in which cell biology has advanced our understanding of disease pathologies and has given insight into the development of molecular targeted therapies.
