Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the ABCD Meeting Cell Biology of Disease: Cancer to be held in Parma, Italy, on 28-29 November 2014. The meeting will be held at the newly opened (May 2014) hotel NH Parma, right in the heart of this very charming city, set in a brand-new architectural complex which also includes the renovated railway station. Parma is the "European Capital of Food" and offers a rich cultural heritage to its visitors. The meeting is intended to bring together the Italian community working on fundamental cell biological processes that are relevant to cancer development, including stem cells, cell metabolism and autophagy, cell migration and invasion, as well as investigators that from cancer development and therapeutics have moved into cell biology. It offers a unique opportunity to discuss the state of the art, exchange ideas and establish connections among Italian scientists working on various aspects of cancer cell development and progression. Most talks will be given by Ph.D. students and postdocs, chosen from submitted abstracts. We are pleased to announce the participation of two international keynote speakers and two outstanding Italian scientists:
Philippe Chavrier
Institut Curie Research Center, Membrane & Actin Dynamics Lab, CNRS/UMR144, Paris, France
Eduard Batlle
