Postdoctoral Fellow in Biochemistry or Structural Biology
The Haucke lab ( seeks to recruit a postdoc in biochemistry and/or structural biology to analyze the molecular architecture and function of protein complexes that control membrane and organelle dynamics in health and disease. Our main focus is on the endolysosomal system that we study using a combination of biochemical/ structural biological, genetic, and cell biological approaches [Lo et al Haucke, Nat Chem Biol 19, 18-27; Ebner et al Haucke, V. (2023) Cell 186, 5328-5346. doi: 10.1016/j.cell.2023.09.027; Lo et al Haucke (2022) Nat Struct Mol Biol. 29, 218- 228; Jang et al Haucke, V. (2022) Science 378, eabq5209. We seek highly motivated, ambitious, and talented young scientists to join an enthusiastic and collaborative team in an outstanding scientific environment to perform research. Successful postdoc applicants will hold a Ph.D. in a relevant area (e.g. biochemistry, structural biology, biophysics) and have a strong track record of accomplishment in biochemistry or structural biology. Candidates with proven experience in protein purification, structural studies, and/ or proteomics are especially encouraged to apply. All applicants are expected to benefit from excellent written and oral communication skills and display a high personal motivation to excel
in science. The working language is English; knowledge of the German language is not required.
