2 post-doctoral positions are available in Prof. Juan S. Bonifacino's laboratory at the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) that will become available on October 1, 2015. Candidates must have a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent degree, and no more than five years of research experience since receipt of their doctoral degree.
The project is focused on the identification of the mechanisms that control iron homeostasis in physiologic and pathologic conditions.
Project involves the use of iPSC-derived myogenic progenitors as a novel experimental tool to study regeneration-enhancing therapeutic approaches in muscular dystrophy
Successful applicant will be involved in the analysis and integration of high-throughput transcriptomic and epigenomic datasets and will work in tight contact with biologists in order to unravel new pathways involved in immune-related pathology such as autoimmunity and immunodeficiency.
