Fellowship in Cancer Immunology Humanitas Clinical and Research Center, Milan, Italy

I am currently seeking a highly motivated junior candidate to study the basic and translational implications of T cell responses during the course of allogeneic bone marrow transplantation. The position is initially available for 1 year, renewable up to 4 years (average net salary: ca. 1,350 €/month). Research activity will be performed in Italy. The laboratory works in close contact with Humanitas Research Hospital and the Humanitas Cancer Center to study T cell responses in individuals with cancer treated with chemotherapy or bone marrow transplantation. The group is specialized in the identification and characterization of novel lymphocyte subsets and in the evaluation of their anti-tumor, anti-viral and immune reconstitution potential by using cutting-edge 18-color polychromatic flow cytometry/cell sorting, molecular technologies and antigen-specific T cell assays. Full access to Humanitas facilities (flow cytometry, confocal and two-photon microscopy, Illumina station, BSL-3, SPF mouse house) will be granted.

The optimal candidate would have a degree in medicine, biology, biotechnology or related disciplines and previous training in immunology or cancer biology. Those with the potential to compete for national or international fellowships (e.g., AIRC, Marie Curie) are strongly encouragd to apply. Fluent English (written and spoken) is required.

To apply, please send a motivation letter, your CV, and the contact information (or letters of recommendation) of at least two referees to Dr. Enrico Lugli
