Applications are invited for a PostDoc position at the Istituto Clinico Humanitas, Milan (Italy). The group is located in a very well equipped state-of-the-art laboratory, funded by various national as well as European organizations. We are seeking to appoint a cellular scientist with a strong track record of research excellence in molecular oncology.

The focus of our work is on macrophage role in colorectal cancer. Research work is aimed to clarify the mechanism underlying the protective role exerted by tumor associated macrophages (TAM)  infiltrating the tumor border. TAM behavior with respect to disease progression and administered chemotherapy are extremely relevant to the project, and will be explored in humans as well as in an animal model. Accordingly, the project entails the handling of human patient material and experimental animal work. 

The candidates must have a PhD degree and have experience in relevant techniques (animal handling, molecular biology, cell cultures, flow cytometry).
