A post-doctoral position in Cancer cell signalling and mechanobiology is available in Prof. G. Del Sal’s Cancer Cell Signalling Laboratory at the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) in Trieste, Italy.
We are seeking for highly motivated post-doctoral researchers interested in working in a stimulating research environment, and leading ambitious projects aiming to discover new strategies to curb metastatic proclivity or eradicate metastatic outgrowth by digging into the connections between mechanosignaling and oncogenic pathways and their role in controlling the crosstalk of tumor cells with the tissue microenvironment. The research is funded by AIRC 5x1000 program “Metastasis as a mechanodisease” ID22759.
Cancer Cell signaling group (https://www.icgeb.org/cancer-cell-signalling) operates in an international and multidisciplinary working environment encompassing biologists, biotechnologists and bioinformaticians with state-of-the-art research facilities. Del Sal’s Group is affiliated to the Dept. of Life Sciences of Trieste University (https://dsv.units.it) and IFOM (The AIRC Institute of molecular Oncology, https://www.ifom.eu) and holds extensive national and international collaborations.

• a strong background in cancer biology
• extensive hands-on experience in cellular and molecular biology techniques
• previous experience in animal manipulation, imaging and mechanobiology techniques and interests in metabolism and/or immunology is a plus
