A research technician position is immediately available in the group of Epigenetic Regulation and Targeted Genome Editing led by Dr. Angelo Lombardo at the San Raffaele Telethon Institute for Gene Therapy (SR-Tiget), Milan, Italy.

We are looking for a highly motivated technician with previous expertise in mouse experimentation, to work as part of an enthusiastic and dynamic research team on in vivo/ex vivoapplication of targeted epigenetic editing as well as on molecular understanding of basic biological processes of gene regulation. Our lab has recently developed a novel gene silencing strategy that exploits powerful epigenetic repressive mechanisms. We are using this strategy to: (i) tackle diseases for which gene silencing is a valid therapeutic solution, such as familial hypercholesterolemia; (ii) shed light into fundamental principles governing establishment and maintenance of epigenetic silencing.

Responsibilities for this position:

- Mouse work (mice handling, in vivo treatments, organs isolation and analysis)

- Tissue culture

- Routine molecular biology (PCR, cloning)

- Flow cytometry

- General lab support (lab ordering, managing equipment, supplies)

- Training of new lab members

Your qualifications:

- Master, PhD or equivalent with strong lab wet experience

- Mouse work (mice handling, in vivo treatments, organs isolation and analysis)

- High accuracy, reliability, precision under time pressure

- High motivation to work in an international, fast-paced environment

- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

- Excellent organization skills

- Friendly, collaborative, pro-active mindset

- Good oral and written English skills
