We are seeking a highly motivated post-doc to study the epigenetic regulation of gene expression in muscle wasting. The project will integrate NGS with in vivo studies and cell biology approaches. Our research interest centers on the dissection of epigenetic and transcriptional mechanisms underlying muscle wasting in physiological and disease-related conditions. We employ a combination of molecular, cellular and in vivo approaches to investigate the role of epigenetic alterations in different models of muscle wasting (cancer cachexia and sarcopenia).

The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in molecular or cellular biology, be experienced in handling mice models and in molecular biology assays. She/he will also show a passionate interest in epigenetics and genomics.
