Postdoctoral position available, at the Molecular Biotechnology Center, University of Turin (IT), to study transcriptional and epigenetic control of stem cell plasticity in wound healing and skin cancer
The laboratory of Stem Cell Biology and Cell Plasticity at the Molecular Biotechnology Center, University of Turin, Italy is seeking for a dedicated and talented scientist.
The focus of the recently established laboratory of Dr. Giacomo Donati is to understand how transcriptional and epigenetic mechanisms control stem cells behaviour in the context of skin cancer and wound healing. This is achieved through the combination of genomic approaches such as RNA- Seq, ChIP-Seq, RNAi based screening, histology and advanced genetic approaches such as lineage tracing in vivo experiments.
The candidate must be highly motivated, enthusiastic and a pro-active researcher. The ideal postdoc should have less than four years post-doctoral experience and have interest in stem cell biology and epigenetics, documented experience in animal models, cellular and molecular biology, and at least a first author paper. Computational skills are appreciated. Good communication skills in English are required.
Application: The position is available from October 2017. Review of applications will begin immediately, till position is filled.
Please send CV, a statement of research interests, names and e-mail addresses of 2/3 referees to giacomo.donati@unito.it
