Job Description

The research team led by Francesca Santoni de Sio is part of the Immunological Tolerance Unit at the San Raffaele Telethon Institute for Gene Therapy (TIGET), which is a highly competitive and motivating institute with good funding for research activity.

Main interest of the group is the study of the genetic and epigenetic components controlling the development of the adaptive immune system and maintenance of peripheral immune tolerance. Successful applicant will be involved in the analysis and integration of high-throughput transcriptomic and epigenomic datasets and will work in tight contact with biologists in order to unravel new pathways involved in immune-related pathology such as autoimmunity and immunodeficiency.

Requirements

We are looking for a hard-working and highly-motivated post-doctoral fellow, having the following profile

• PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology or similar
• Scripting skills (Perl, Python) and statistical software knowledge (R language)
• Previous experience with open source and licensed softwares for the analysis of NGS and gene expression data
• Good knowledge of scientific English

Salary according to experience and skills.

Starting date April/May 2015.
