AVVISO PUBBLICO DI SELEZIONE, PER TITOLI E COLLOQUIO, PER IL CONFERIMENTO DI N. 1 BORSA DI STUDIO PER ATTIVITÀ DI FORMAZIONE PRESSO LA DIREZIONE SCIENTIFICA

The fellow will investigate novel players and mechanisms involved in the pathophysiology of ovarian cancer stem cells. The project will rely on a broad spectrum of experimental models (patient-derived primary cells, new-generation organotypic 3D cultures, mouse xenografts), with an outstanding clinical relevance, thanks to our close interaction with the Division of Gynecology in IEO Hospital. Molecular profiling with various omics technologies and a wide range of biochemical and cell biological assays will be applied to unravel the biological mechanisms that orchestrate the pro-malignant function of ovarian cancer stem cells.

Two research fellowships are open in the Ghigna laboratory at the Institute of Molecular Genetics Luigi Luca Cavalli-Sforza of the National Research Council (IGM-CNR). We have an extensive experience in the study of post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression and how it impinges on key physiological and pathological conditions, including cancer.

One research fellowship application will be opened in late December at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Pathology (IBPM-CNR) to work on a PRIN project entitled “Cell imaging-based approaches to identify non-invasive biomarkers in Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia (HSP)”, under the supervision of Dr. Cinzia Rinaldo.
