The Gulbenkian Institute of Molecular Medicine (GIMM) is recruiting three outstanding Group Leaders to join our growing faculty. Established in 2024 through the merger of the Gulbenkian Institute for Science (IGC) and the Institute of Molecular Medicine (iMM), GIMM is a leading Portuguese life sciences research institute dedicated to fundamental and biomedical research. Our mission is to drive transformative discoveries that advance knowledge, human health and global well-being.
To expand our cross-scale and interdisciplinary research, we seek exceptional and highly motivated researchers in any area of biomedical research, including (but not limited to) molecular cellular and developmental biology, immunology, neuroscience, genetics, microbiology, systems biology, and bioinformatics. Candidates with expertise in multiomics approaches and computational biology are especially encouraged to apply.

Candidate Requirements
We seek candidates who demonstrate:
- A D. or equivalent degree in a relevant scientific field
- A strong record of research excellence and impactful discoveries
- An innovative and ambitious research vision
- Leadership potential, with the ability to run an independent lab while contributing to GIMM's collaborative research culture
