RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP
A one year junior research position within the TRANS-ALS project supported by the Fondazione Regionale per la Ricerca Biomedica (FRRB) in Lombardia is available at the CNR Institute of Neuroscience, Milan, Italy.
The project will be carried out in the laboratory of Dr. Francesca Navone in collaboration with the one of Dr. Sara Colombo and is focused on the dissection of the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying the degeneration of motorneurons in a cellular model of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). In particular, a dominantly inherited form of the disease caused by a mutation in the gene encoding the Endoplasmic Reticulum protein VAPB will be investigated (ALS8).
The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic and committed young researcher with experience in cell and molecular biology or biochemistry. Candidates with Doctoral or Master’s degree in a biological discipline will be considered.
Applications including a complete CV, list of publications, and at least one reference contact should be addressed to: f.navone@in.cnr.it
