My primary research interest is to try understanding how cells sense the environmental challenges and decode the information included in the stimulus’ strength, converting them in an intracellular cascade of molecular events, which ultimately regulate several physiological processes (e.g., cell proliferation and migration). In particular, research focused on the analysis of the molecular mechanisms induced by 17beta-estradiol (E2) through its binding to the estrogen receptor alpha (ERalpha) and estrogen receptor beta (ERbeta).
