The ISSCR Tobias Award Lecture (http://www.isscr.org/home/awards/isscr-tobias-award-lecture) which recognizes original and promising basic hematology research as well as direct translational or clinical research related to cell therapy in hematological disorders.
Leonard Zon was the recipient of the first award which was presented last month at the ISSCR annual meeting.
The winner of the award receives $15,000 USD and a featured presentation during a plenary session at the ISSCR Annual Meeting.
Nominations must be submitted by two or more people. A single nomination letter signed by two individuals is sufficient or two independent nomination letters may be submitted if preferred. Nomination letters (up to two pages) should provide a statement of up to 100 words highlighting the most important accomplishment of the nominee in the field of stem cell therapy for hematological disorders.
