A 4 year post-doc will address the hypothesis that early changes in axonal biology, and particularly in RNA localization and axonal signalling, play a role in ALS.  The project will use a recently generated mouse model of ALS, microfluidic chambers to isolate axons, and a novel RNA tagging tool.
